Trinity Gate

• SANCTUARY •

Founded and protected by Armand, Trinity Gate is a coven house and sanctuary for certain elite vampires who meet certain criteria, such as the Coven of the Articulate or the Children of the Millennia. That is, vampires like Louis, Lestat, Marius, Armand, David, and Pandora (and perhaps even Vittorio) are welcome inside, as they have all written books in the Vampire Chronicles. Similarly welcomed are Maharet, Khayman, Thorne, Gregory, and any vampire of goodwill more than one thousand years old. On the other hand, younger vampires such as Killer and Davis are not initially welcome, although some young vampires are very much welcome, such as Benji, who broadcasts his internet radio program from one of Trinity Gate’s rooms, and Sybelle, who accompanies Benji’s radio program with beautiful piano playing.

Structurally, Trinity Gate is a grouping of three townhouses, all side by side, on New York’s Upper East Side; a long glass porch along the back connects all three units. Inside is lavish furniture, a vast library and ballroom, and countless, priceless treasures collected throughout the ages.

After Lestat takes into himself the Sacred Core, making himself the new host carrier of the spirit of Amel, effectively becoming Prince Lestat, he takes Trinity Gate as his royal residence in New York.

Trinity Gate appears in Prince Lestat (2014) and Prince Lestat and the Realms of Atlantis (2016).
