KIMO HAD more tents set up, while Susan made the beds, then put away their clothes. Most their luggage was put away, except for the school supplies by the time the knights came back to camp. Richard rode into camp with Leila; Jennie ran over and grabbed her off the saddle. She hugged her so tight it hurt, but Leila didn't care. She was home with her family again.

Sophia was starting to be in terrible pain from her fall off the carriage. She wished she had a painkiller; Lamorak came over to see how she was doing. Sophia asked him to help her into her tent to lie down.

"Can you come back for me in an hour?" she asked him.

"Yes, do you want me to stay?"

"No, I need to try and get ahold of my Grandpa but thank you for asking."

"You are welcome, I'll check back soon." he said, then turned around and left.

Sophia reached into her pack and got out her phone. She turned it on while Kanani jumped up on her bed waiting to snuggle.

I’m here with you Sophie, I love you.

"Are you ok girl?" Sophia asked her, Kanani wagged her tail and Sophia rubbed her head. It was such a comfort to have her. Picking up the phone se dialed Grandpa’s number. He answered on the first ring.

“Hi Sophie, you made it my dear! I am so pleased to hear from you.” Grandpa wouldn’t let Sophia get a word in.

Finally, she got to speak. “Grandpa we made it, but there was an incident soon after we returned; then she relayed the story.”

“Well I’m glad Leila was unhurt, but what about you dear, do you need to come home and get checked out at the hospital?” he sounded concerned.

“I think I will be ok Grandpa, I will go back if I need too, but it will just take time for these bruises to heal. At least I didn’t hit my head, so I know I will be fine.” she reassured him. The hour went by quickly, because Lamorak came into Sophia’s tent before she was done talking to Grandpa on the phone.

“I will call you tomorrow Grandpa, I have to go. I love you,” she told him.

“Goodbye dear, I love you too.” With that they disconnected.

“I brought you some dinner, then why don’t you try to rest Sophia. We can get more done tomorrow if you aren’t so sore and tired.” He handed her a plate of food and set a dish down for Kanani too.

Oh, thank you Lamorak, you are a pretty good host, Kanani was thinking as she gobbled her dinner.

“Thank you, I’m forever grateful,” Sophia was saying as she took the dish of food from him. He sat down next to her and they talked until she finished. Then he took Kanani out for potty.

When he came back with her they said good night. Sophia got up and brushed her teeth then went to bed, with Kanani sleeping next to her.

Well as long as I’m with you Sophie I don’t care if we don’t have our comfy bed back home. Kanani was thinking as she fell asleep.

Sophia dreamed of bandits and of John. Could she go back in time and find him before he gets killed? Was that possible? Should she just let it go and pursue saving Lamorak and educating children in this century? Tomorrow would bring new adventures.
