GUNTHER FLEW all day until Sophia insisted he find a safe place to land and take a break. So, he found a place to land in the town of Arbroath on the east border of Scotland about 150 miles northeast of Ayr. They landed on the beach, Merlin went to find some water and Gunther jumped with Kanani into the ocean to get refreshed. Sophia walked around; it was a sandy beach, with magnificent sandstone cliffs stretching out all around them. Sophia kicked off her shoes and walked on the sandy beach letting the waves wash over her feet. She smelled the clean sea air and grabbed a stick, then threw it for Kanani to fetch.

Yipppee! I love chasing sticks, I love water!

Gunther was happy too! How she loved that dragon. Merlin came back with good news, not far from where they were a small stream flowed with fresh drinking water.  They followed him there and everyone got a large drink of water. Sophia pulled out some food that they still had and they had a lite snack. Gunther caught a fish and ate that.

“Do you feel like traveling anymore today Gunther or should we stop here for the night?” Sophia asked the dragon.

“I’m a bit tired, could we stay here tonight?” Gunther pleaded.

“Merlin, what do you think?” Sophia asked.

“Let’s stay here for the night, Sophia. Then we can have a fresh start in the morning, we’ve travelled a great distance today and I know we’re tired.”

“I agree, it’s settled then. Let’s set up a little camp site for the night.” Sophia said, and then got up to start setting up camp.

“I can catch more fish,” said Gunther.

“Good, Merlin can you find some herbs for us eat or do you want wood duty?” she asked.

“You go get the herbs Sophia and I will do the fire.” said Merlin.

“That’s a deal, Kanani you can come with me. I’ll meet all of you back here soon.” With that Kanani and Sophia took off looking for herbs.

Lamorak, Perceval, Accalon and Lancelot had been riding their horses all day. They were exhausted and Lamorak was sick with worry for Gunther, Sophia, Kanani and Merlin. Merlin could at least take care of them a bit, but they were so far ahead and would get to Gunther’s homeland weeks before any of them could get there. They had been lucky to not run into any more rival knights. Lamorak didn’t know how long that luck would run for them. They stopped and camped about the same time Gunther, Sophia, Kanani and Merlin did.

Grandpa, Jackie Lee, Guinevere, and Morgan went through time. Jackie Lee was jumping up and down running all around. Guinevere was laughing, it was so good to be back, and Jackie Lee was way too funny.

“Ok, what do we do now? There is no transportation.” Grandpa said.

“Well, Lamorak’s Castle is a short walk from here. We can make it there and hopefully get some horses or a carriage to Camelot.” Said Guinevere.

“We need to look out for those Dark Bandits, Father Anderson.” Morgan Le Fay warned Grandpa.

“Yes, Sophia told me all about them. Hopefully Lamorak scared them off for a while.” Grandpa said.

“I hope so,” said Guinevere.

With that they walked in the direction of Lamorak’s castle.

Casey Lane rode ahead of the King and his knights. Jennie and Leila rode beside her. They arrived where the attack had happened.

“Look at the graves!” Leila pointed as she screamed in horror!

“Oh no,” said Jennie, “I hope it isn’t any of our men!”

“Well, it has to be,” said Richard riding up and jumping off his horse. “The enemy would have taken their dead with them. Our men weren’t going home, they would have had to bury them.”

Casey Lane jumped off her horse too, they looked around. There had been a horrible battle. She followed the hoof prints from the horses. There was something hiding behind a bush. She reached down and pulled out a phone! Then she went running back to the others.

“Look what I found!” Exclaimed Casey Lane excitedly!

“Oh, no!” Screamed Jennie putting her hands to her mouth. “That’s Sophie’s!”

Richard came over and put his arm around Jennie. “I’m sure she’s ok, honey.” He tried to comfort his wife.

King Arthur rode up.

“This is not good; men you need to dig up those graves. We need to see who’s in there.” He instructed his knights.

The knights jumped off their horses and went over to the graves.

“Not a pleasant task,” said one of the knights.

“No, but we need to just get it done,” said another.

They dug up the graves and then King Arthur went over to look inside them. He took count of which knights he had lost and said a prayer.

Casey Lane came up behind them and glanced in the graves too. Then she turned and walked back to Jennie.

“Sophie isn’t there, so she’s alive,” said Casey Lane.

“Thank goodness!” Sobbed Jennie with relief.

The graves were covered back up and King Arthur ordered everyone to continue forward. No way were they going to camp here tonight.
