THEY HEARD them before they saw them.
“Gunther come here please?” Merlin asked the dragon. “I sense someone approaching. Could you see who is coming please?”
“Yes, Gunther is a good dragon, I will be back.” Gunther said as he took flight.

“Look, that’s Gunther!” Shouted Jennie to Casey Lane and Richard.
“So, it is! Fantastic, we made it!” Shouted Richard.
Jennie, Casey Lane, Jackie Lee and Richard let the King know. King Arthur was so relieved to finally arrive at their destination.

Gunther saw them and flew back to Merlin. The dragons were all lined up with Merlin in front as the King’s party approached. Jackie Lee was introduced to the dragons, so he didn’t chase them. Sophia, Kanani and the others came out of the cave in time for the arrival of the King’s party. They were greeted warmly by everyone! Sophia and Casey Lane shook hands; Kanani and Casey Lane chased each other. There was so much going on with all of the additional people. The King had his soldiers get water out of the cave; they had a lot of food and supplies, so they set up camp above the cave. Only the dragons would sleep in the cave from now on. They decided to bear out winter here and next spring they would make the long trip back to Camelot.
The winter passed, they made it through safely. Spring arrived so they started the long trip back to Camelot. Early summer was approaching when they reached their home. Word got around that the King was approaching. The King’s people lined the pathway as King Arthur and his party approached. The people cheered and danced! A festival took place in honor of the dragons and the safe return of the King. This was a very long and successful quest.
The dragons were all given caves. Gunther had his cave closest to Sophia and Kanani.
“It’s been a lot of fun,” said Casey Lane. “Jackie Lee and I need to go home though.”
“I understand, it was nice of you to come. I can’t get over Jackie Lee convincing Grandpa to bring him through time. I will never stop chuckling about that.” Sophia laughed.
“I know, Jackie Lee is quite the character.” Casey Lane told her. It was so nice of your Grandpa to have me start calling him that too.”
“I know, he is a dear,” said Sophie.
Grandpa approached the women.
“I will go back with you my dear. You need to get your belongings from Sophia’s house and then I will take you both to the airport after I pay you.”
“Ok, sounds good to Jackie Lee and me.” Casey Lane looked at Grandpa agreeing.
Grandpa turned to Sophia and Jennie, “I plan on coming back over here to live and open a Catholic Church. I’m going to become a Priest instead of a Monk. It will take a bit of time, but not much. Could you get the church built and a rectory for me?” He asked them.
“Yes, that’s fantastic, Grandpa!” Sophia hugged him, Jennie got into the bear hug as well.
“Sophia and I will make sure it gets done, Grandpa, hurry back to us. I love you.” Jennie said.
“I love all of you too, I will be back within the month.” Grandpa then boarded the carriage with Casey Lane and Jackie Lee.
Bye, Jackie Lee, come back and see me sometime. It’s been fun having another German Shepherd to talk to. Kanani told him.
Bye, Kanani. You’re a fun girl too. This has been a grand time. I hope to visit again someday. Jackie Lee gave Kanani a lick and jumped into the carriage with Casey Lane and Grandpa.
The girls watched until the carriage was out of sight.
“Well, we have a lot more to do little sister. Let’s get going.” Jennie walked off to talk to the builders.
Sophia’s house was done and so were Susan and Kimo’s. They were cobblestone houses, with a kitchen, fireplace, living room, bathroom and two bedrooms. The roofs were thatch and Lady Yglais had flowers planted all around the front of Sophia’s. Lady Yglais had her new place as well; it was much bigger than Sophia’s, because she knew her sons would want to stay with her when in Camelot. Sophia found Yglais in the school putting all of Sophia’s materials away on new shelves that had been built. School would start in the fall, Jennie and Susan would teach. Sophia decided to teach violin and work with the older children teaching them to read and write. Sophia and Lamorak were very good friends, it was an exciting time in Camelot. Guinevere had sent Lancelot away and the King was very relieved.
