Acknowledgments
A sincere thank you to my readers. I love that you come back to read about Sophie and her friends. Your emails to me show me how much you care about them. You make me smile when you tell me whether you think Mars, Wolf, or Bernie is the right man for Sophie. And I appreciate the readers who tell me they like reading about a woman who can stand on her own-with a little help from her friends. It is because of you that I have the honor of continuing to write about these characters. And frankly, it’s reassuring that they are as real to you as they are to me.
Writing is a solitary endeavor for most authors. But I am lucky to have friends to turn to when I need a little help. I know how to pronounce charcuterie, but when it came to writing it phonetically so readers would understand, I turned to Ginger Bolton, Allison Brook, Laurie Cass, Peg Cochran, Kaye George, and Daryl Wood Gerber. Everyone chimed in with suggestions until we were all in agreement! It’s wonderful to have writing friends. I’m never alone because they are only an email away.
My non-writing friends are the best, too! They even accompany me to mini-cons. You would think they were my personal publicists! Thanks go to Susan Smith Erba, Betsy Strickland, and Amy Wheeler.
And speaking of publicists, I need to thank Larissa Ackerman, who among other things, sets up mini-cons and makes it look so easy. I know it’s not. She’s amazing! And a lot of fun, too.
I will never be able to thank my agent enough. Jessica Faust has been through ups and downs with me. Thanks to her, everything seems to come out okay and it’s usually a fun ride.
