Baking cookies
Betty:
We haven’t baked cookies in a long time.
Duncan:
You’re right. I want cookies now.
Betty:
Me too.
Duncan:
Do you want to bake some?
Betty:
Sure!
Duncan:
What kind of cookies should we bake?
Betty:
Can we bake two different kinds?
Duncan:
Sure! Which kinds?
Betty:
I want chocolate chip cookies and snickerdoodles.
Duncan:
Awesome. Do we have any flour or sugar?
Betty:
No, we don’t. I have frozen cookie dough in the freezer.
Duncan:
Perfect! Those are easy to bake.
Betty:
Here you go. Do you have a baking pan?
Duncan:
Yes, I do. Here it is.
Betty:
Great! Now, can you turn on the oven?
Duncan:
Yes.
Betty:
Can you heat the oven to three hundred fifty degrees Fahrenheit?
Duncan:
Okay. Do you want help with the cookie dough?
Betty:
Sure! Cut a small piece with a knife.
Duncan:
Got it. What now?
Betty:
Make a ball with that small piece. Then, put the ball on the baking pan.
Duncan:
Okay. Can we eat the cookie dough?
Betty:
No.
Duncan:
But the cookie dough is so delicious!
Betty:
It’s not good for you!
