Message in a bottle
Scott:
I really love this beach. It’s always empty and the water is so clear.
Sky:
It’s like our own little slice of heaven.
Scott:
The sand is so soft! It feels like powder.
Sky:
White sand beaches are so nice.
Scott:
Don’t you love this place?
Sky:
I really do. The ocean breeze is so calming and relaxing. We should go for a swim soon.
Scott:
I agree. The water feels great!
Sky:
Wait… do you see that?
Scott:
See what?
Sky:
There’s something shiny floating in the water. It looks like… a bottle.
Scott:
Wouldn’t it be funny if there was a message in that bottle?
Sky:
Yeah, that’d be funny!
Scott:
Here’s the bottle. It has a cork.
Sky:
And look! I think there’s something rolled up inside. Looks like paper.
Scott:
Give me a second. Aha! Got it.
Sky:
What does it say?
Scott:
I don’t know… it’s hard to make out because the writing looks really old. From what I can tell, I think it says…
Sky:
…Well?
Scott:
Nothing. It’s nothing.
Sky:
Come on! What does it say? I’m so curious!
Scott:
It says, “Run for your lives…”
Sky:
Ha ha. Very funny. What does it actually say?
Scott:
See for yourself.
Sky:
It… really does say that. What a silly message.
Scott:
Yeah, I guess.
Sky:
Hey, I see a ship in the distance. I didn’t think there would be any ships nearby
.
Scott:
Did you bring the binoculars?
Sky:
Yeah, here they are.
Scott:
Thanks. I see… a black flag with a white skull and two bones in an “X” shape. And the ship is coming this way.
Sky:
I think those are pirates!
Scott:
We have to get out of here. Run!
