Kelly Sullivan Pezza is a native of Hope Valley, Rhode Island, and has worked as a journalist for Southern Rhode Island Newspapers for seventeen years. With an education in law enforcement and many years of experience as a Rhode Island historian and genealogist, she has written hundreds of articles and several books concerning historic true crime and unsolved mysteries in Rhode Island.

In addition to her works of nonfiction such as History, Mystery & Lore of Rhode Island, the author has also published two fictional dramatic novels: Snowglobe and The Rarest Beautiful.

The winner of the Kraft National Writing Award and the New England Press Award, she provided a portion of the historical narration for the acclaimed documentary You Must Be This Tall: The Story of Rocky Point, produced by documentary filmmaker David Bettencourt in 2007.

Currently, she is at work on her third fictional novel and continues to seek out stories of the unnerving, the unexpected and the unfathomable.
