ABOUT THE AUTHOR

ANTHONY PELLICANO was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1944. His career as a detective began in his home town of Chicago in 1969. He relocated to Los Angeles in 1982, where his reputation attracted high-profile clients in the business and entertainment industries. Pellicano’s achievements earned him numerous sobriquets including “Investigator to the Stars,” “The Hollywood Sineater,” and “The Hollywood Fixer.” “Call the Pellican,” was the advice given to many celebrities and others who had benefitted from his work and respected his dedication and discretion. The hit Showtime series Ray Donovan was based on his exploits.

In 2002, Pellicano was convicted by the Federal government for unlawful acts committed in the service of his numerous celebrity clients, and as a result he served a lengthy prison sentence, forgoing many offers from the government to divulge information about his clients.

Pellicano was released from prison in 2019, on his 75th birthday. He now devotes his time to writing, producing podcasts, and advising clients in negotiations across a broad range of business activities.
