SIMON SINGH is an author, journalist and broadcaster who specializes in science and mathematics. His childhood ambition was to be a particle physicist, and eventually he earned his Ph.D. from Cambridge University in England. He went on to work for the British Broadcasting Corporation, and directed the award-winning documentary film on Fermat’s Last Theorem that aired on PBS’s Nova series. He is also the author of the bestselling book Fermat’s Enigma. The film and the book recount the fascinating quest to solve the greatest maths problem of all time. Simon Singh lives in London, where he enjoys games of chance, listening to the Violent Femmes and watching magicians.
