A light rain started to fall. She seemed quite amused at her self. I wanted to shoot her in the fucking face. Apparently, she had the same idea.
I looked down and saw her pointing a pistol at me. The ledger she said. Give me the damn ledger Remy. I feel bad enough for you already don’t make me kill you.
She tossed her cigarette over the bridge. And pulled an envelope from her Gucci Leather. She threw it at my feet. Landing on the toe of my strawberry gators.
There it is she said. $50,000. Give me the Ledger get the money and run. I’m only offering one time. Once before I shoot you where you stand she said coldly.
I had no doubt in her sincerity. I believed she would kill me without a second thought. I also believed that anyone who made a deal with Bobby Young would regret it.
I said nothing. I took the ledger from my inner jacket pocket and tossed it on the ground at her feet. I then backed away a few steps for her to pick it up.
She kept the gun on me for a second contemplating whether to kill me on the most famous bridge in the world.
Against the fence she said. I complied with my hands up. She picked up the ledger keeping the gun trained on my chest.
She looked me over menacing one more time before walking to stand in front of me. Damn her perfume.
She put the gun to my head. I closed my eyes. I felt her lips on mine for no more than a few seconds. Then she was gone.
I heard the clip-clop of her heels rushing down the East Sidewalk. I opened my eyes to see her silhouette disappearing on the dimly lit bridge.
I picked up the envelope. I was keeping the money. This bitch not only blew up my fiance she blew up my ride.
Then I heard Selina scream in the dark distance. I started running in her direction pulling out Artie’s gun.
She screamed again. Then she went silent after two loud shots from what sounded like a very large gun.
I could see her now. Two men standing over her. I see one of them remove the ledger. Then both men in all black sprint off into the night.
Selina's body lay face up with. Her chest was gone from two point-blank shots. She looked me in my eyes blew me a kiss and went straight to hell.
I heard the screeching of tires and turned to face the bridge. Thru the fence I could see a black SUV peel off. The black window was rolled down. I saw the smiling face of Bobby Young. He saw me too. I gave him the finger.
