Ruth von Bernuth is Associate Professor and teaches German and Old Yiddish Literature in the Department of Germanic and Slavic Languages and Literatures at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She also serves as Director of the Carolina Center for Jewish Studies at the university.
