Chapter 19

Getting ready to go out to dinner with Austin, Miller was checking himself in the mirror over and over again. He should have gotten a haircut. No. It was just a dinner, not a date in any way.

Miller just couldn't stop being nervous, worrying that he should have worn a t-shirt and jeans instead of the gray shirt and slacks.

It turned out that Austin dressed nicely too, in a dark blue buttoned shirt that looked amazing on him and black slacks. Of course with his body, he looked sexy in anything. He took Miller's breath away and had him fantasizing again about this being a date.

It didn't help that Harriet gave them a sly smile when she told them to have a good time and closed the front door after them.

"God knows what she's thinking," Miller muttered on the way to Austin's car.

"What is she thinking?" Austin asked.

Miller wasn't about to tell him. "Nothing," he said, but he did notice that the baby's car seat wasn't in its usual place.

As soon as he got into Austin's car, memories started flooding back from the night they went clubbing. Miller's heart sped up and he told himself not to let his imagination run wild.

They drove and Austin confessed, "I didn't pick a place, but there are a bunch of places to eat in this area. We just drive and pick one."

"That's fine. I didn't expect you to make reservations," Miller said as a reminder to himself that this was just a meaningless meal. Then he saw a sign. "What about that place? Bill's Burgers and Beers." Miller pointed it out ahead.

"That's straightforward enough, but it doesn't seem like your kind of place," Austin said.

"I like burgers, and beer is OK."

"I'm not looking for OK. I want to treat you," Austin told him and went right past it. "I remember a place up ahead. It's French or Italian or something."

"Cote de L'Isle?" Miller guessed.

"Sounds good the way you say that," Austin said with a grin. "So you know it? Is the food good?"

"It's supposed to be continental cuisine with a tropical touch. I've heard good things about it," Miller said.

"But you haven't been there?"

"Uh, no. It's kind of a date night place, so I... Um," Miller stammered. Having said that, he knew Austin would skip it.

Austin was eyeing the turn into the restaurant parking as it came up. "Hmm. Let's check it out, see how long we'll have to wait for a table."

Miller looked at him in surprise then quickly looked away. He couldn't believe Austin didn't pass it up. They parked and saw some people waiting just inside the front doors but not too many. Miller did notice that they were all paired off.

As they walked in, Miller felt self-conscious knowing that anyone might assume they were a couple. Austin went up to the hostess to ask about the wait time and came back smiling.

He told Miller, "Thirty minutes or so. That's not too bad. And they have a wine bar so we can sit and have some drinks and appetizers."

Austin waited for Miller to agree, but he was still in shock that he actually wanted to eat here. He finally nodded and they went to the bar.

Seated with a wine glass in hand and Austin next to him, Miller had a look around. It really was all couples, some of them gay. Austin didn't seem to notice or be bothered by it.

"This wine you picked is pretty good," he was saying.

"I don't know that much about wine. We just lucked out," Miller said.

"You're way too modest. It's like your only fault."

"I think you're forgetting a few."

"Nah, I'm the one who runs his mouth when he doesn't know what he's talking about," Austin said and looked contrite.

Miller knew he meant how he accused him of hiding some kind of relationship with Lawrence. He was still confused by Austin's reaction, that he got so mad. It wasn't like him and it didn't make sense. Maybe he thought Miller was lying to him or something and that made him angry.

Once they were seated, Miller had trouble keeping the conversation going. He kept gazing at Austin too long, fantasizing about reaching across the table to take his hand.

It didn't take too long for their food to arrive though. Austin had chosen a fried chicken with a rum papaya sauce. As the dish was sitting in front of him, he eyed it like it scared him a little. He noticed Miller watching him.

"I don't know about the sauce, but you can't go wrong with fried chicken?" Miller told him.

Austin shrugged. "Maybe it will be like chicken and waffles. I had that before. I'm just glad I can afford to treat you."

"You really didn't have to. You do plenty for me. You're a huge help. But I appreciate that you brought me here."

"I'm treating myself too," Austin said then he tried his dish. One bite and he nodded then had another. Miller had noticed he had a tendency to eat too fast when he liked something. "This food is great. I didn't even know you could do things like this with chicken. I mean fruit and rum. Crazy."

Miller was having pork with plantains and pink peppercorns and it was also very good. To keep the conversation going, Miller got Austin to talk about his job. Pretty soon, Austin was talking about the work he was doing at Miller's house.

"My house isn't as interesting as some of the projects you've done. I bet you've made some impressive things," Miller said.

"Impressive? You could say that, but that's just my job. Working on your house is..." Austin trailed off and looked down at his plate. In a hushed voice he continued. "It's closer to my heart, I guess."

Miller was too stunned to say anything to that. He just gulped and ended up staring at his plate too.

Their conversation faltered after that. Every time their eyes met, Miller forgot what he was going to say, what they were supposed to be talking about and only saw Austin across from him, his bearded face so kissable.

Miller constantly had to look away from him, and it always seemed like they were talking about something else. Something intimate.

Miller kept telling himself it was just his imagination, but he couldn't shake it off, couldn't stop being too warm and tense with the need to feel Austin, to burn up under his touch.

To Miller it seemed like their dinner took forever, but finally it was time to leave. Back in the car with Austin, there was a tense silence as they were driving home.

Just driving home. That was what Miller was telling himself, but then Austin made a right turn into the mostly deserted parking lot of a store that had closed down.

The edges of the parking lot were overgrown with bushes and Austin chose one of the spots where the greenery was wild and his car could barely be seen. From the road it would be invisible.

He shut off the engine and turned in his seat so he could face Miller. "Tell me if I'm out of line parking here."

"I..." Miller couldn't. All through dinner he'd been dying for this.

"If I'm right, we should move this into the back seat," Austin said. Without waiting for Miller, he climbed between the seats into the back. Offering Miller his hand, he urged him, "Come on."

His grip on Austin's hand too tight, Miller climbed into the back too, practically into Austin's lap. That wasn't enough for Austin. He pulled him all the way into his lap and started kissing him.

As Miller straddled him, Austin's hands slid from his thighs to his ass. Austin rolled his hips and Miller felt how incredibly hard he was. Miller was too and the grinding drove him wild.

Then Austin reached for his fly, and Miller found he was shaking with need.

"Is this another treat?" Miller gasped as Austin undid his fly. Then Austin freed his cock and took firm hold of it, and now Miller was speechless.

"How does it feel? Like a treat?" Austin asked giving his cock another squeeze.

He swung Miller off his lap and laid him out on the back seat with his fly open. Austin pulled down his pants and boxers until they were off his hips then reached under him to fondle his naked ass.

Miller was writhing until Austin's finger found his hole. Now Miller was shivering, panting Austin's name.

"I guess you like that," Austin said, his eyes wicked in the darkness.

His eyes still on Miller, he leaned down and gave the head of his cock a lick. "How about this?" he asked and breathed over it.

"Please, please," Miller begged as Austin's finger teased his hole and his mouth inched toward his cock.

"Is this what you want?" Austin asked and then swirled his tongue over the glistening head of his cock while his finger circled just inside his hole.

Caught between two sensations, Miller could only moan helplessly. For a while Austin let his tongue and his finger play, leaving Miller crazy with need. Finally Austin started taking him into his mouth while his finger pressed into his hole.

Miller cursed and clawed at Austin wanting to buck up but resisting. Austin's head moved up and down then side to side.

His movements went from slow to fast, but then he pulled off and Miller groaned. He watched Austin lick his finger and groaned louder.

"Damn, you turn me on so much," Austin rasped and then bent down over his cock again.

Back at his hole, Austin pushed in deeper and his lips and tongue enveloped his cock. The bobbing of his head was faster all the time, and Miller felt himself rising. The pressure was intense. Miller couldn't take it. He dissolved in an incredible climax.

Austin was swallowing and Miller was moaning. Next thing he knew, Austin rose and reached down to squeeze his own crotch. His cock was straining, still trapped inside his pants.

Miller couldn't have that. He pulled his legs free and sat up then he was on Austin pushing him back.

"You don't have to..." Austin tried to say as Miller undid his fly.

"I have to. I have to have you," Miller moaned as he released his cock and swallowed it down.

"Oh, fuck, Miller," Austin growled and pushed his fingers through Miller's hair. His hips thrust up and Miller let him pump inside, encouraging him while cupping his balls.

He caressed the shaft with his tongue and sucked. Austin didn't thrust any more so Miller sped up and sucked harder while his hand rolled Austin's balls.

Austin moaned his name, and Miller sucked for all he was worth. With a grunt, Austin was coming, and Miller made sure to swallow every last drop.

Leaning back while Miller rested against his thigh, Austin was still breathing hard as he asked, "Did you have a good time?"

"The best," Miller sighed.

"Then maybe we can do this again," Austin said, almost like this was a date.
