Rnd 3: Ch 1; sc in first 3 sc, *ch 2, sk next st, sc in next 5 sts. Rep from * around ending last rep with sc in last 2 sts. Join with a sl st to first sc.
Rnd 4: Ch 1; sc in first st, *(3 dc, ch 5, 3 dc) in ch-2 sp, sk 2 sc, sc in next sc. Rep from * around. Join with a sl st to first sc.

Weave in ends. Fold hat with RS facing and fold brim up to wear. If desired, block and use fabric stiffener on crown trim.
