Dax got off his bike and took a few steps away. Fuck having Jas on the back of his bike, even with the circumstances felt right. Not only did it feel right, but he was also sporting a hard-on that was pretty uncomfortable. How long was he going to be able to hide his attraction? He had to; this was seriously not the time to start something.
Jas looked at Dax from the side of her eye, sitting behind him had driven her nuts, the closeness had been unbearable. Her attraction to being close to him felt like she belonged to him. It was an unsettling feeling for her. She had never felt like this, even with Trey. Looking at him, she could see that he was as attracted to her, and he didn’t look happy about it. Well tough shit, Jas thought, if she was fighting it, then he was too. This would make things uncomfortable; she really needed to talk to Bob or Jugs. They would know what to do. She sighed and turned when Roger pulled in and got off his bike quickly and walked to her.
“Are you okay?” he asked, and she smiled.
“Fine, just a little drama, taken care of, but I agree we are going to need to change routes and get where we need to go ASAP.”
Roger nodded and then looked at Dax and nodded. “Let’s go get something to eat and discuss new plans,” the older man said.
The three moved in unison and walked into the door of the café they had pulled in front of. It was charming, really. They sat down and ordered before they got down to business.
“We need to get there sooner rather than later. So, suggestions?” Jas said.
Both men took a moment to think, and Dax said, “Well, we could just grab a flight and get new bikes there.”
Jas tilted her head and nodded. “How long would that take?”
“Depends on when the flights leave, we could be there in just a few hours,” Dax said.
“But that is obvious, isn’t it?” Roger said slowly.
“It is,” Dax agreed honestly; it would be where he would look for people he was after.
“What else then?” Jas said and took a drink of her water.
“Well, how about the Eurostar, we can check the bikes in as baggage,” Roger said and looked at Dax who nodded.
“Better choice since we could leave at any moment to ride.”
Jas asked, “Where is the next departure place? Is it close?”
Dax pulled out his phone, so he had something to do besides looking at Jas, she was driving him nuts, and he had to get control of it.
“It is nine miles away; we can buy tickets online; the next departure is in thirty minutes.”
Jas nodded and slapped her hand on the table. “Let’s get a move on.”
The men nodded and stood with her, and they began to walk out of the door when all three stopped because they saw three black SUVs with tinted windows pull into the lot. Jas was behind both men and grabbed their shirts, and drug them behind the counter and into the kitchen while the waitress stared at them in shock. I kitchen manager began to say something, which she assumed would be a yell, and she held her finger up to her lips.
Jas turned back and looked at the waitress and did the same, and they heard the bell over the door go off, and the waitress nodded as she turned with a smile to the man who walked in.
The kitchen manager pulled the three of them further into the kitchen and into a small hallway with a door. He began to speak in rapid French, which only Roger understood fluently and began to whisper back just as quickly.
Dax leaned back against the wall and pulled on one of her belt loops and pulled her back to him. She froze for a minute because he literally pulled her back to him, so she was leaning against his front. It only took a few seconds for her to relax because Dax was relaxed. They stood together and waited.
Jas wanted to look over her shoulder, to see the look on his face, especially since she could feel what was in his jeans. Something was going to need to happen; either they talked, or they fucked, but it was going to happen either way.
He looked at his friend as he pulled Jas back towards him, when she settled against him, he almost groaned. While they had been sitting there talking, Dax had made a decision. Fuck what was going on. He was going home with her and gonna see where this went. As far as he was concerned, in a month, he would be talking to three parents about claiming their daughter. He could feel it in his bones; it was going to happen. He was just going to have to convince of it, of course, when they were safe.
Roger turned to them and said softly. “He has a car we can borrow and leave at the depot.”
“Great, but how did they find us so quickly?” Jas ground out, and Dax made a noise.
“Shit, they had to have more GPS locators. We just didn’t see them.” Well, that would piss off her mother.
Jas shrugged. “Can't complain about spilled milk now.”
“He is going to go look and see who is upfront,” Roger said and then continued. “I am sorry, I should have thought about that.”
Jas rolled her eyes. “Seriously, I had to call my parents who told me where to look. That was a jacked situation; no one is to blame.”
The kitchen manager came back and spoke to Roger quickly, after a few nods and apparently a deal of some sort since Roger reached in his back pocket and pulled out his wallet.
Roger turned to them and explained. “This man, François, is going to take us to the depot. He is pulling his car around to the backside, and we will hide in the backseat. I have paid him a 100 euro to get us there. We may miss the train, but the next one is only a few hours from now. There are places around there we could hide in until it is time, including François’s wife's bakery. The man is sitting in the restaurant and has been joined by two more men, with others still watching the bikes. We leave them here, get new bikes later in Spain.”
Jas smiled, “Uh, yum, let's go; I love French desserts.”
Dax laughed and shook his head; they were in a dire situation, and yet she was laughing and making jokes. It was refreshing to know she was not going to lose her shit and freak out on them. Yeah, her ass was his.
“Let’s get moving,” Jas said, and the kitchen manager hustled out the back door. While they waited, Dax pulled up the schedule again on his phone.
“We don’t have much time, 10 minutes tops, if we don’t make it, the next one is three hours away.”
Jas shrugged, “I vote on the bakery, duh.”
There was a knock on the door, and Roger opened it a little to see François waiting for them, the three moved quickly to the back seat, Roger sprawled on the floor, Jas went for the bench seat, and Dax laid on top of her and roger protecting them both in case something happened. They felt the car begin moving slowly, and Roger said.
“Boy, how the hell much do you weigh? Must be pure muscle since you do not look so large but buff.”
Dax chuckled and said quietly. “It is rude to ask that question.”
Jas moved a little rubbing her ass in his crotch, and he almost groaned. “Yeah,” Jas said. “I am going to have to get back to working out; I really don’t like to get squished.”
Dax chuckled, “You have the perfect body, I don’t think you have anything to worry about.”
Jas sucked in a breath, wow, he was seriously laying it on thick. Jas knew what she looked like and also knew her faults. She had tits and ass, but from the beginning, Jas had liked tattoos, and she had a lot of them; some men didn’t like them; some just didn’t say anything. And her choice of hair color she looked more like a punk rocker than a biker bitch, but it is what it is. She was just surprised since Dax had no tats she could see.
Roger laughed, “It seems I may be a third wheel here.”
Jas protested, “Never, we stick together since we are all in this together.”
Dax said seriously, “Roger, you are important to this mission; we need you. Personal shit will be just that, and we don’t want you to feel uncomfortable.”
Jas looked over her face with a shocked expression. What in the ever-loving hell was he saying? Personal shit? What personal shit? She was not going to fuck up her first mission because her head is being turned by an incredibly sexy man. Not the time and place, and she was going to make sure that he knew that as soon as she got an opportunity to speak alone. So not happening, she thought, turning her head back and frowning.
Dax wanted to laugh, he had not planned on doing that yet, making his intentions known, but Roger gave him the perfect opportunity, and there was no way he was going to ignore it. She was going to need to deal because he was making his move.
Roger laughed loudly. “I wondered when you would finally give in.”
“Can we not talk about this right now,” Jas ground out and Dax leaned close and whispered.
“I will let it go for now, but mark my words this is happening.”
They made it to the depot too late, after they bought their tickets, the three moved to the bakery where Adrianna was waiting for us. She smiled and put them in a booth in the back that was hidden; no one could see them unless they walked into the kitchen. Dax felt more secure, and so did Jas. Except when Dax slid in next to Jas, whose body was already humming from being so close to him in the car, he was trying to kill her. After studying the menu and looking at her watch, Jas said.
“Okay, we can order at least two, with a cappuccino, and then take a shit ton to go.”
Dax laughed, “How far is the house from the depot we are getting off of.”
Jas pulled out her phone and hit her maps. It took her a few minutes to make sure the way they had to go. “Looks like three blocks to the east. The house has walls around it with security all over it. Plus, inside, it connects to the clubs, through video.”
“Great,” Dax said and then leaned closer to Roger and Jas. “When the time comes, we leave one by one; I will go first, then Jas, finally Roger. We board separately meet at our seats. Make sure we look around until we leave.”
Jas and Roger nodded, and then Jas said, “Okay, can we order now?”
“Yes,” Dax said with an amused face.
So, they wasted time eating amazing pastries, and Jas ordered one of everything to go, claiming they needed to stock the safe house with snacks. When the time came, all three-left carrying a cup of coffee and a big box of pastries in their hands.
