CYNTHIA LAIR has been on faculty for Bastyr University’s Department of Nutrition & Exercise Science since 1994 and is the founder of their Nutrition & Culinary Arts program. She is the author of Feeding the Whole Family, now in its fourth revised edition, and Feeding the Young Athlete. Her 2012 TEDx Rainier talk, “How to Cut an Onion,” encapsulates her food philosophy. Ms. Lair has presented sessions at Dr. Andrew Weil’s annual Health & Nutrition Conference, the Food as Medicine Conference, KU Medical Center, and many other venues. Simultaneously, Cynthia has maintained a career in acting and currently performs and teaches improvisational theater in Seattle, her hometown since 1989.
