Makes 8 servings
1 c. self-rising flour
1 c. sugar
1 c. milk
15-oz. can sliced peaches, drained
1/4 c. butter, sliced
Garnish: vanilla ice cream or whipped topping
Stir together flour and sugar in a bowl; add milk and stir until smooth. Pour batter into a greased 1-1/2 quart casserole dish; spoon peaches over top. Place butter in center. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for one hour, or until golden. Serve warm, topped with ice cream or whipped topping.
