Buttery Lemon Snow Bars

Makes 1-1/2 dozen

2 c. sugar, divided

2-2/3 c. plus 1/4 c. all-purpose flour, divided

1 c. butter, softened

4 eggs, beaten

6 T. lemon juice

Garnish: powdered sugar

In a bowl, stir together 1/2 cup sugar and 2-2/3 cups flour. Cut in butter; mix until crumbly. Pat into the bottom of a greased 13"x9" baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes; remove from oven. In a separate bowl, mix together eggs, lemon juice and remaining sugar and flour, blending well. Pour over baked crust and return to oven for an additional 20 minutes; cool. While still slightly warm, dust with powdered sugar.
