This evening, a viral development in the murder case of fourteen-year-old Jawad Ali. A person or persons going by the name Justice for Jawad has penned an anonymous article linking the murder of Ali to acts of white supremacy in the area, including Nazi graffiti at DuSable Prep and a threatening message sent to a local mosque. The common thread? A seeming obsession with Nietzsche.
The group implored the public to reach out with any clues that might lead to apprehending the murderer, while decrying what they claim is insufficient action by Chicago PD.
Reached for comment, lead detective Will Diaz assured us the Chicago PD is working hard to solve the case. “We will find and bring the murderers to justice,” he said. “We appreciate any tips from the public that can be called in anonymously to the Chicago PD tip line. But I must warn any armchair detectives out there—you know who you are—to leave the actual work to trained police. I am following up on a number of solid leads. We believe whoever murdered Jawad may still be in the area and they are highly dangerous.”
A DM to the Justice for Jawad group asking for a comment received a short reply: “We know who did it. In a short time, the rest of the world will, too.”
