Chapter Three

A woman marched across the floor as her heels clattered against it heavily. Her rosy cheeks stood out against her tanned skin and light eyes. She continued to strut and pressed her hands against twin oak doors with a rabbit dog head symbolized in the center. She opened the doors to see dozens and dozens of men and women shadowed in the room standing around a center table with three figure heads at the end of the table. She cautiously stopped and stood glancing at the shadowed figure people glaring at her.

The man in the middle sneered and tapped his fingers against the table. “Karly Brinks, we have summoned you here today because we have had our psychics decipher the signs in the galaxy.”

“What was that of…” Karly asked uncertain.

“There is a child born of power that could destroy us. We have made it our business to rule the Pisces Age with absolute rule, but this new age leaves us ambiguous as to what to make of it.” The man said.

“What do you desire of me?” Karly interrogated.

“We need you to find this child. The Aquarian Watcher, knows of this child by now. We need to locate this child and destroy it.” The man continued. “We are at risk for conquering everything now. This child holds great power. We first thought to use this child, but my superiors believe that destroying the child is best.”

Karly nodded and began to leave, but the man’s voice stopped her. “Karly, this is your task. The Celic Group failed in acquiring the Aquarian Watcher and was severely punished. Remember failure is not an option with the Light Group.”

Karly bowed her head and quickly left the room. As she marched down the hallway, Karly knew that she had to find the child soon or her own position would cost her.

The man leaned back in his chair and touched his face apprehending that this task would be too great for such a low-level operative but his important people were split doing other things. He turned to his other people around him.

He scratched his head and pointed to shadowy figures in amongst them. “Ceresin, Eagan

and Grody, I want you to take on the position of executing the next phase of Aquarian Age.”

Three men’s eyes sharpened slightly with slits and sneered then disappeared into the darkness. The man licked his lips in a lizard like way and turned back to his men in the darkness.

Gaia stepped back and forth looking at the earth below her. She glanced over at Aquarian who was pouring water into the streams. She sighed heavily and walked over to him.

“They know of the prophesy that will destroy them, Aquarian. What shall we do?” Gaia said hesitantly.

“The prophesy has been long set before I came in being the new guardian, Gaia. The child of legend will come and it will be cited.” Aquarian said patiently.

Gaia glanced through the water mirror watching the groups of the Light Group Corporation search for the child. Three men in similar stature wearing different colors, black for Ceresin, green for Eagan and off white for Grody. Each man had a slit in their eyes but were covered up by colored contacts that were brown. Their eye shaped were almond and they stood strong and tall. Ceresin appeared Australian, Eagan appeared Canadian and Grody appeared American. Each man had spikey short brown hair and strong jawlines. Each man wore shades and they echoed the Light Group Corporation’s motto of excellence. Gaia continued to gaze at them as they were the three men that would bring down the Aquarian Age and were the real takers. Aquarian peeked up and stopped pouring the water.

He walked over to her, smiled then rested a hand on her shoulder. “The child is protected no matter what. They don’t know where it is and I must hide even secrets from you.”

She turned around and glanced at him oddly, “what do you mean?”

“Because you can’t not know everything, Gaia. I am this galaxy’s guardian and I even hold secrets that outweigh you,” Aquarian said brazenly.

He paraded away from her and opened his arms wide. A wave of magic and release dispelled from his hands. He looked up and a mist of water with emerging lights dazzled over the mirrors springing to life. A vale of portals emerged and Aquarian raised his hands once more and the mirrors turned to water and slowly rotated pouring back into a large jug sealed shut. Gaia peeked at the jug glowing then soon it vanished. Aquarian walked down the steps to the void and turned to the stars constellations blinking in the distance.

“As the guardian, they must be granted permission to enter through the portals or there will be a price,” he turned his head slightly saying to her.

A door emerged from the side and he entered in. Gaia looked baffled and followed after him. She knew Aquarian would protect her and this child that would break the chains of the past to the future. Aquarian was all wise and knowing that nothing would overtake his decision.

Members in dark hooded clothes search across globe in different cities searching for the child. They had been looking for years and could find nothing. Countless times the members searched for the child of legend or so they thought for it would end them. Many of them continued to search on for the child but had no avail as it seemed almost impossible. Many children were born and none that held the potential in what they were looking for. The Celic Group had almost given up and tried to enter in the doorway.

Karly ambled into a main hall with plums and fruits everywhere. She kneeled down and peeked up at the fires that roared next to the streams of water of navy. She gazed up to see a wall with a throne on it and a clock with numbers going backwards. A figure stood as if a painting on the wall with a dual fish. The eyes burned into Karly’s eyes. She stood back and sighed. The eyes flashed navy then to red. An illusion of the animals flew out and the clock rung in the background.

“Why have you come?” The animals asked swirling around one another.

“I need to know what gender the child is?” Karly probed.

The illusion of the animals regarded her for a moment. “The child is a boy. Many are after this child. There are other children’s genders that I am unaware of. This is all the information I knew before I was replaced.”

“Is there any way to get back the gracious Pisces Age?” Karly grilled.

“No. My time is done and I will not be able to recycle until the end of the twelve then come back. Even I am under the rules of the galaxy. I am limited now to answer certain questions, as I am bound to this but soon will fade. My time has come and gone.” Pisces said sympathetically.

“Dear Pisces, how can I go back into the past to destroy this child or anyone else?” Karly further stated.

The eyes flashed deviously then laughed. “Your kind has tried so many times and have failed as to go back into the past to destroy this child. Some things can’t be undone as it is foretold. Your kind has given me so much to my liking but the doors to the past are closed.”

“What do you mean closed?” She surveyed.

“Aquarius has locked the doors to the past. All the portals are closed as well for there is no way to return as the new guardian has made it law. You must gain permission or your fate going through the doors will be lost to time itself.” Pisces said dejectedly.

“I see. The information that you have given me has helped a great deal and I am able to understand what is going to happen next.” Karly slowly got up and looked at the wall that this temple had given Pieces.

She looked up and saw Pisces’s emblem gone. She gasped and screamed out for if Pisces was truly gone, they were in the dark of what was going to come. The powerful groups no longer had an edge to this unforeseen age because of their lord they worshipped was now gone. Many people rushed to Karly’s aid but soon gazed upon the emblem no longer there.

Five mysterious figures stood in front of an ancient doorway with doorknockers that predated ancient civilization stood in front of it. The five members moved their hands back and forth in the same motion. Another man with long wavy hair stood in the center of the five members wearing green slacks and a white jacket.

“Push the motions back and don’t stop” The man said greedily.

The other five members continued moving their hands in front of the door pushing out their energies and magic. The door before them didn’t move. The man frowned and ordered the men once more.

“We have to go back to the past, Karly said that the child is a boy.” The man said.

The men looked at their leader who was doing all he could to get gain entrance into the past. He was fighting for the Light Group. He wanted to prove to Cersin, Grody and Eagan to do anything he could. He wanted them to know his name was Coen. He would do anything and find a way.

The other five members continued once more and repeated their motions but found it impossible as the door didn’t budge. The man grew angry and walked up to the door banging on it.

“Why won’t it open!” he roared.

Water poured in a stream around them and on the ground the image of Aquarian smiled at them. “The gateways and portals are closed. You have to have my permission to enter to the past, present and future, and I dare say you that you don’t have it.”

The doorway faded away and the waters faded away with Aquarian chuckling in the background. Neil growled and roamed away from the five members. He had to find out what they could do. Going back to the past was easy in the Pisces’s Age but this guardian was hard pressed. The man knew that they had to take drastic measures that ensured their own visions were seen.

Karly sat reading at a table and sighed. Coen sauntered up to Karly and sighed. She looked him over and rolled her eyes.

“What is it, Coen?” she inquired him.

“I went to many ancient doorways and wanted to go back in the past to destroy this child, but was ambushed.” Coen said.

“Ambushed?” she said.

“The new guardian said that no one can go through. I left and the other members tried to finish the ritual and they were met with a bad fate.” He simply stated.

“You left them there?” she queried him.

“I did but it was wrong, they served their purpose but now we know that. We must hunt for the child more so. We need to have a search party to find the child. If we use our psychics we will be able to find it. When you went to Pisces, we got the one piece of information that we needed and found the gender but it cost us.” Coen mentioned.

The doors opened up and Hans walked in ragged, “that would be true but it is more than that. We need to search for the children that will be associated to this.”

Karly and Coen turned to him annoyed, “what are you doing here, Hans? The Celic Group is out trying to reclaim the past?”

“No. I am here to give my assistance. You need to know that Aquarian Watcher is still out there and to find him or her is important but it is delicate to find the other children. Remember, we are at war now.” Hans said desperately.

“How can we trust you?” Coen sneered.

“You don’t have to… but what I say will help you avoid the fate of what my departed Ara had to endure.” Hans said.

“I see. So, you say a truce?” Karly asked.

“Indeed.” Hans said.

Coen and Karly glanced at one another and walked over to him and shook his hand.

The moon twinkled in the distance as the clouds raved over the sky. The winds pushed through the lands and some animals howled in the distance. A woman with bobbed brown hair sparkling eyes held an infant bundled in a blue blanket with an Aquarian symbol on it, smiled down at him. She held the infant gently in her arms, standing on the sidewalk then gazed up the night telling her different of the night. She looked down at the sleeping infant and placed him in a weaved basket.

“You are the child, I have been looking for. My dear, you will change the world. No matter what the world will do to you, one day you will hold strong to this. Who would have thought things turned out this way?” She surveyed.

The child moved slightly in his weaved basket. She leaned forward and kissed the child’s forehead. “You will be marked with greatness, Skipper. I have known for a long time because the stars said you would come.”

The woman sauntered across the street and placed the child on the doorstep. She reached into her pocket and put a note inside the basket. She rang the doorbell and ran away. The door opened up and a couple looked down to see the sleeping child. The woman picked up the basket and the man took the note with the name, Skipper on it.

Years later, a young teenage boy of fourteen sat on his bed and gazed up at the ceiling. Dozens of discarded clothes laid all over the floor. Dirty dishes were all over the floor and furniture. Game systems with some half-stuck cheese and pizza stuck to the controllers. Some small trash bags leaned against the wall in the corner near the door. He sighed and ruffled his blond curly hair. His hazel eyes twinkled with mischief. He scowled looking at his hands refracting blue and green energy. He didn’t understand what was going on with him. The boy flicked his fingers to the side trying to push away the strange energy developing in his hands. He sighed and got off his bed then walking to the window. Night had fallen and he had gazed at the people strolling about.

The doors open up and a couple enters in. Skipper quickly put his hands behind his back for it to not be seen by the man. The older man with grayish hair scowled at the boy.

“Skipper Townsend, why is this room still a mess?” the man asked.

“Sorry, Dad, I will clean it up,” Skipper commented.

The man gazed around and scowled again. “Look, I know your birthday was only a few days ago, but cleaning up this room is important. You are a part of this family it is time for you to understand that responsibly is prudent. Your mother and I would like to talk to you soon.”

Skipper nodded and sighed when his father left the room. He looked down at his hands and feared that he was sort of some freak. After he turned fourteen, these powers started to show up. Skipper made excuses to not go to school based on his condition at the present moment. Skipper was afraid something was wrong with him. He paced around his room wondering what his parents would need to tell him that would be so important. Skipper wanted to avoid them as much as possible until he had a handle on his current problem at hand.
