Hello William.

I’ve been a follower of your blog for quite some time and must say that I am quite impressed with you and your devotion to the world of horror. Regarding your most recent post about the disappearance of Jakobi Warren, I would like to suggest a potential scenario for your consideration.

The White Guy Dies First was inspired by true events, yes? Well, that would mean Nona, the witch from The Protegé, could be real. And so could her power. So what if she and Jakobi had a secret arrangement? What if Nona could grant any wish—for the right price? And let’s say that price was thirteen souls, thirteen bodies that would bear the cost of fame for the unsung filmmaker.

Perhaps Jakobi went into hiding after fulfilling his deal with Nona, waiting to bear the fruits of his bloody wish. And maybe after some time, he redefined his definition of fame, realizing that it is not shiny awards or bright accolades or even piles of money; but instead, fame—in its most authentic form—is the impact his work had (and continues to have) on the lives of people across the world that he would’ve otherwise never gotten the opportunity to meet. And even if the ripple he makes touches only one person, that is still one life forever changed. That is fame. That is power.

Just a thought.

Be easy, kid. And stay weird.
