My mood was getting better by the minute. I continued working, selling and buying new gear. The salesman was right, this was addictive. Just as I was digging, the mine started to collapse. I was hanging on for dear life but there seemed to be a system in place to help you out. Still, it was a bit scary, so I decided to ask a fellow miner about it. It was a reality check type of moment and I hoped I wouldn’t get picked on again. I went over to a guy called *MightyMiner* who was probably a beginner too. Judging by his name, he did have high hopes.
“Hey, *MightyMiner*! I’m obviously new here... What happened to the mine, why can’t we keep on digging?” – I asked, trying not to step out of my position this time.
“The mine collapses every now and then. It’s kind of annoying but there are advanced players who dig real quick. If they didn’t make it this way, we’d all be in danger. By the way, it’s nice to meet you!” – He replied in a friendly manner. I decided to befriend him. Maybe we could learn from each other. He didn’t seem to mind and seemed pleasantly surprised. This was definitely worth a journal entry.
We both went our way and I went back to fill my backpack. My forehead was sweaty as I was digging with my junior equipment. When my backpack was full, I went back to get paid. This went on for about an hour. By that time I had gathered quite a sum. I went over to the buyer and had a hard time deciding what to do with my funds. I went for a bigger backpack so I could dig more stones and manage to get some more precious jewels. Feeling a bit tired, I decided to end the day with notes about what I’ve done. Maybe that would help me be more efficient.
“Dear diary,
Today was a long day. I was off to a rough start but I want to prove everyone who underestimated me wrong. It sort of worked. Today, I made a new friend. Finally, I managed to break the ice with the community and even get some better gear for tomorrow.

Noob.”
The first thing that came to my mind the next day was filling my bigger backpack. Going back into some hole a more experienced miner was digging, I found some valuable gems. He seemed to ignore them but they seemed worth a lot to me. The trouble was I couldn’t break through them with my lackluster equipment.
“Hey... I know you’re busy but could you tell me what’s the best upgrade to cash in on these stones?” - Holding my fingers crossed, I asked the guy who seemed to be obsessed with digging down low.
“Go away Noob. Do you think I’d give away all my tricks? It took me ages to get to where I’m at.” – I can’t say I didn’t expect a response like that.
