Having my old tools back, it was time to make up for the rebirth and get the money for another one. The double amount of coins helped a lot. It was a little disappointing that the bonus items – think chests, didn’t give the double amount as well. On the other hand, people were talking to me and asking me for tips. That felt good, but I really wanted to gather all my friends. It was time to dig less and get more. I waited a couple of hours until Citarella came back. Once I saw her, I immediately went over to chat.
“Hey, where have you been? I have something to share!” – I told her as I was truly excited and felt a bit anxious about what I had to offer.
“Hey Noob, it’s nice to see you. I got a lot of upgrades and I’m not really sure what to do next.” – She asked the perfect question. At last, I could help her out as well.
“Well, I went through this. Have you ever considered a rebirth? It’s like starting over and a bit exhausting but I have a plan!” – I said confidently to make sure she would take it seriously.
“A rebirth would take away all my gear. I don’t know if I have what it takes to get it back...” – She replied.
“Well, what if we team up for a private mine? I have another friend here, and you probably do too. We could turn work into hanging out.” – I tried to convince her. Little did I know, she didn’t need a lot of convincing.
“Huh, I never thought someone would be so kind to suggest that. I always looked at the private mine and it was empty all the time. I thought people here were all about becoming the best, unlike me.” – She replied.
“We only need to invest a little bit but I know it would pay off. We have all the time in the world, so why not spend some of it relaxing? – I said like I had all the answers.
“That’s true – that way we could help each other out. We could mine together and create opportunities for each other. I don’t mind the investment a bit. It’s a deal!” – She replied looking happy. She was insightful as always but I even managed to make her happy now.
“Well, let’s shake hands on it!” – I made a little gesture like I’m reaching out to her. The situation looked both fun and funny.
“So, same time tomorrow?” – She asked and from that moment on, I knew this was going to work. I had picked the perfect job for me in Roblox.
“No doubt about it. We’ll wait for my friend, he’s got another buddy that will join us. We’ll make this game our own AND we will own it. Think about the possibilities...” – I replied.
“Yeah, it does sound amazing. I’ll go blow off some steam, you really got me excited. I’m heading back to work.” – She said and off she went.
“Bye, at least for the time being.” – I said my regards and was super excited. I actually followed her into the mine to start some practice at teamwork. We’d have to share the gains so we wouldn’t argue and stop thinking for ourselves. She did turn out to be very organized, which I did lack a bit. That was a great sign as we’d cover for our shortcomings. Maybe we’d become celebrity miners and be mining tycoons!
When she left the mine, I felt a little bit tired. I met *MightyMiner* again and told him we have another teammate. He seemed really glad about it. I think this is the only way we could go through the rebirths necessary to become legendary players, in the literal meaning of the word. The only thing we might have to change is my nickname. I definitely didn’t feel like I was a Noob anymore.
Later on that day, I met with *MightyMiner* which was a bit unusual because he didn’t stay up late. I thought I’d best tell him about Citarella joining the team. I also needed to make sure he’s on board.
“Hey, *MightyMiner*! How are you?” – I felt like we were already close to each other.
“Hey, Noob... I had some spare time and the idea you gave me kept lingering on my mind. To be honest, I had some doubts, to begin with, and didn’t want to disappoint you, but as I thought it through this would fit me perfectly” – He went straight to the point. I liked that.
“That’s great. We’ve already got a winning team! From now on, we’ll get the best upgrades and all the extra items. We’ll be amongst the best players this game has ever seen!” – I replied.
“That sounds like a plan. You do know that it will require one last push?!” – He asked and I had to boost his confidence in this ordeal.
“It will work like a charm. Don’t even sweat it!” – I was assuming my place as the leader of this group. To be realistic, it was my idea, to begin with.
“You’re a great morale booster, I have to hand it to you. That’s one thing we’ll need for sure.” – It was nice to know that we’re such a good fit.
“Go on, have some fun. Tomorrow on we’ll do some work to do the best we can.” – I replied.
“Good idea! I’ll just enjoy the game for now... I mean, I’ll enjoy it even more afterward but the priority is to get our badges!” – He said and went his way.
This day was just begging for my last journal entry as a solo miner.
“Dear diary,
I learned so much through working, and I have come a long way. The progress I’ve made seems unbelievable to me but for some reasons I think I’ve deserved everything that came to me. That is not to say I don’t respect my future teammates as worthy peers – if it weren’t for them, I wouldn’t have had the chance to have a claim at the mining game of thrones. Or rather, We wouldn’t have a chance at the throne, and all that while having some fun.
