JOHN WICK, CHAPTER 7: JE T’AIME
OVERVIEW: All current and former high-caliber super-assassins are granted one week of vacation as reprieve from their ultraviolent and hyper-stylish lives. John Wick takes his in Paris because he (and his new dog) has never seen the French catacombs. While in line for the catacombs, he meets another high-caliber super-assassin, The Valentine (Charlize Theron), also taking her vacation. Soon we discover that The Valentine is actually the disguise of Agent Provocateur, a high-caliber super-cop hell-bent on being the one who brings Wick in.
AP will stop at nothing, even bringing along her bookish assistant, Margot (Winona Ryder), to psychologically profile John Wick into a hell of his own making. But Margot has fallen for the man she understands so well from her studies, and when the two unite they form a bond as strong as the one John shares with any dog. That bond will be put to the test in a final showdown and a final final showdown…in Paris.
ACT I
“Paris Is for Lovers, Not Me”
John Wick soft-shoes through the slick streets of rain-swept Paris with his dog, looking for love but knowing he won’t find it.
“Catacomb with Me”
JW meets The Valentine in line for the catacombs. They strike up a conversation about being married to the job, and when she is called away before they can enter the catacombs, JW is left to wonder if instead of finding love, maybe it…has found him?
“Trimming ze Wick”
The Valentine, as her true self, Agent Provocateur, sing-monologues about her plans to destroy John Wick for her own personal gain and pleasure. Her bookish assistant, Margot, is distressed. She has grown fond of the man she has profiled for so long and cannot bear to see him struck down by a bloodthirsty detective going rogue for glory.
“Un Chien Déjà Vu”
Keanu sings a ballad to his new dog about his old dog. First love is always first love, but new love is still love. Just different.
Margot: Are you comparing your love for someone new to your love for your dog?
John Wick: No. That was literally about my dog. But I think I could love again, too.
Margot reveals the truth about her research and AP’s plans. They share a kiss and fall in love.
“In Love in Paris”
A big ensemble song, centering on JW and Margot in love, planning to leave their old lives behind and start a new one somewhere, in Paris.
John Wick: I never thought it would happen to moi, a kiss on the steps of Montmartre.

“Catacomb Away with Me (Reprise)”
Agent Provocateur interrupts by taking out most of the town square and kidnapping Margot.
AP: If you want to save her, meet me where we first met—the catacombs!
JW: We actually met in line for the catacombs—
AP: Damn you, John Wick!
ACT II
“It’s a Trap”
In an exclusive dance club hidden in the depths of the catacombs, Margot is nowhere in sight, but AP has gathered all of JW’s enemies and some random French people to fight him to the death!

“Tour d’Eiffel”
AP sing-monologues about killing Margot and wounds JW before he can save his love. Margot, in turn, saves JW from getting killed to death by pushing AP off the tower.
