Introduction

I was done, over it, on my way out.

I couldn’t keep going the way I was: feeling stressed about my work; worrying about my path in life and business; questioning everything from my purpose to my career; not trusting myself enough; and wondering why (in my imagined conversations) it always seemed so much easier for everyone else.

I was ready to give up, to throw my hands in the air and say, ‘I’m done!’ (On that note, I had no idea what I’d do next. But where I stood felt too hard, and I wanted out of that.)

I decided to pull an oracle card, from a deck I’d almost given away just weeks before, but at the last minute, had decided to keep.

The card I pulled had one word on it: Stay.

*Goosebumps*

I stayed. And the idea for this book dropped in.

I’ll tell you what this book isn’t …

Instead, this is a book about having the courage to use your voice and love what you create, in both life and work, no matter your situation.

This is a book that’ll help you start doing the work you love, by really trusting yourself, honouring your voice, and speaking up; by letting yourself succeed and fail and rise and fall (and rise again) along the way.

This book is written for anyone who wants to become aligned to what they’re truly wishing to call into their lives and work, and for those who want to deepen their self-belief and self-expression, to help them love what they create. It blends spirituality with practical tools, to help you build a beautiful, sustainable creative life, work and business that lights up your soul, and the world.

I want to help you give yourself permission to have an even clearer, stronger and more empowered voice, expressed by how you’re showing up in your life, business and self-expression—and of course, how you’re showing up in the world.

I’ve been working with women, entrepreneurs, healers, coaches and creatives for years. I know that working towards your dreams, using your voice, and building a beautiful, thriving life and business needs the inner work done first. And the right mindset means more than a big social media presence (no matter how many likes or shares a photo gets). The alignment that inner work creates does more for your dreams than chasing yourself into the ground, hustling straight to burnout.

My clients are naturopaths, nutritionists, psychologists, kinesiologists, copywriters, graphic designers, reiki and crystal healers, crystal store owners, writers, teachers, lecturers, painters, artists, interior designers, consultants, yoga teachers, massage therapists, beauty therapists, make-up artists, personal trainers, life coaches, health coaches, wedding stylists, PR and HR consultants, and more.

Whether they’ve been running their business for years, working in a corporate job while setting up a passion project on the side, balancing work for someone else while they work for themselves too, making a big change in their careers, leaving something old behind to start something new, or new mums coming back to work and setting up a business that serves their families even more deeply, I’ve seen how this works, in so many different ways. The first step is always deeply rooted in self-belief, and a desire to create a more deeply aligned life.

This inner work, this alignment work balanced with soulful strategy and self-belief, is the work I do all the time—in my own life and business, with my clients, and through my books, workshops, online programs and social media presence.

This book is about me and my creative life and work, and you and yours. I wrote it to help you align to your dreams, clear away fears, perfectionism and procrastination, and show up more fully in your life and business. It’s about finding, honing and using your voice to light up the world.

I wrote it to help you succeed with joy and fail without fear, and to help you lean into—and trust—every single moment in between, and way beyond.

This book has been brewing under the surface for years. It’s one I didn’t always know I’d write, and one that I now can’t wait to share with you. It’s one I hope helps you remember (every day, even when you’re uncertain, even when you’re overwhelmed, even when you’re feeling stuck) that you can always clear your blocks and become more aligned to what you’re working towards and receiving. You can become unstoppable, in the best way possible—not the burn-outy, fatiguey version of unstoppable, but the magnetic, expansive, energised version.

This book is about honouring all the work we’ve already done, honouring ourselves for where we are and where we want to be, approaching everything we create from a space of self-worth, and extending that out into the world.

I wrote this book to help you begin trusting yourself even more; to help you know that you are enough in your creative life and business; to help you know your voice is needed; and to help you know your work is enough.

Becoming aligned and unstoppable is about releasing expectations and attachments, leaning into the unknown, releasing your fear of being seen and speaking out, showing up for yourself even when feeling unsure of the outcome, and trusting yourself—and your intuition—to help you build your best business and life, as well as honour your soul gifts.

Through this book, you’ll uncover how to:

The chapters are split up into five parts relating to your thoughts and mindset, fears and blocks, expression and creativity, self-care, self-belief and more. But as you’ll learn (and as I’m sure you already experience in your own life), it all overlaps.

If you’re feeling shaky in your mindset and not honouring your creativity, then running your business or deepening your work, career or path might not be feeling fluid and expansive right now. If you’re feeling unhealthy and ungrounded in your life, then showing up to teach and share with others won’t feel great either.

While I do recommend reading this book from front to back the first time, after that you can pick up the book, flick open a page or turn to a random chapter and read as you need. As I’ve said in my previous books, I believe that if you turn to a random page right now, that page will contain something you need today, something to support you in this moment.

In and among everything, you’ll find questions, journalling prompts, energetic clearing exercises, and more. I often end chapters with something you can do, say, think or visualise—perhaps an affirmation to work with, or something else you can take away and apply in your everyday life (like an energetic essence to take, or a crystal to work with). And lastly, the book ends with a balancing and activating meditation.

Everything in the following chapters has a ‘take it or leave it’ vibe. Take the advice if it resonates with you; leave it if it doesn’t. If there’s one thing I know about creativity, business, doing the work you love and honouring your dreams, it’s that there is no one-size-fits-all approach, no cheat sheet, no done-for-you script, and no one way to do things.

There are many ways. For you, there’s only your way—the way that feels best for you.

So find it, make it, create it and own it. And then? Do your absolute best work, take all the breaks you need, keep at it, and keep remembering that you’ve got this.

And finally:

Okay, let’s get going. We have so much amazing work to do.
