Easy Chili I

- 5 tablespoons chili powder
|
|
|
- 2 tablespoons garlic, minced
|
|
|
- 1 cup chopped green bell pepper
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
- 2 1/2 tablespoons finely chopped jalapeno chile peppers
|
|
|
- 2 (29-ounce) cans diced tomatoes
|
|
|
- 2 (15-ounce) cans tomato sauce
|
|
|
- 2 (16-ounce) cans chili beans, undrained
|
|
|
|

Directions
Step 1 In a sizable saucepan over medium-high temperature, combine the bottom beef, onion, and bell peppers. Saute for approximately five minutes, or until beef is browned. Drain surplus fat.
Step 2 Add the chili powder, garlic, bay leaf, cumin, hot peppers, tomatoes, tomato sauce, and salt and pepper to taste. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally. Stir in the beans and heat through.
