Ingredients
  • 6 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 4 medium onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 1/4 pounds button mushrooms, sliced
  • kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
  • 1/4 cup plus 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/4 pounds 93% lean ground turkey
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 3/4 pound lean ground beef sirloin
  • 16 slices multigrain bread
  • 16 thin slices monterey jack or swiss cheese (2 to 3 ounces)
Directions
Step 1 Heat 1 teaspoon essential olive oil in a sizable nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the onions and cook, stirring, until soft, 2-3 3 minutes. Push to 1 side of the skillet; add the mushrooms and cook until browned, about 2 minutes.
