MATERIALS

5 PRECUT 2½˝ STRIPS

CUTTING

• From 4 strips, cut 1 square 2½˝ × 2½˝.

• From 1 strip, cut 2 rectangles 2½˝ × 4½ and 2 rectangles 2½˝ × 8½˝.

Note: From 5 strips, you can make 4 blocks with different “outside” colors. You can also cut the 2½˝ × 2½˝ squares from charm squares.

Join the 2½˝ squares together to make a four-patch unit.

Sew the 2½˝ × 4½˝ strips to the side of the unit. Sew the 2½˝ × 8½˝ strips to the top and bottom.
