Concrete Jungle

Inspired by Concrete Jungle in Allison Nicoll’s book Sew It!

MATERIALS

2 PRECUT 10˝ SQUARES or 2 PRECUT 2½˝ STRIPS (contrasting colors)

CUTTING

• From 1 precut 10˝ square or 2½˝ strip, cut 1 square 2½˝ × 2½˝, 2 rectangles 2½˝ × 4½˝, and 2 rectangles 2½˝ × 4½˝.

• From 1 precut 10˝ square or 2½˝ strip, cut 2 rectangles 1½˝ × 2½˝ and 2 rectangles 1½˝ × 4½˝.

Sew 1½˝ × 2½˝ rectangles to opposite sides of the contrasting 2½˝ × 2½˝ square. Stitch the 1½˝ × 2½˝ rectangles to the top and bottom.

Repeat the process sewing the 2½˝ × 4½˝ and 2½˝ × 8½˝ rectangles to the center unit.
