MATERIALS

2 PRECUT 2½˝ STRIPS (contrasting colors)

CUTTING

• From main precut 2½˝ strip, cut 1 rectangle 2½˝ × 6½˝ and 2 squares 2½˝ × 2½˝.

• From background precut 2½˝ strip, cut 4 squares 2½˝ × 2½˝.

Sew a background 2½˝ × 2½˝ square on either side of the 2 main 2½˝ × 2½˝ squares. Sew these units to the top and bottom of the 2½˝ × 6½˝ rectangles.

Note: By carefully replacing your background squares with other main squares, you can easily create interlocking plus signs.
