MATERIALS

6 CHARM SQUARES (4 coordinating, 1 background matching pair)

CUTTING

• Cut each of the 2 background charm squares into 4 squares 2¼˝ × 2¼˝.

Note: Materials and instructions make 1 block, either an X or an O. Layer 1 square 2¼˝ × 2¼˝ on the corner of 1 charm square, right sides together. On the back of the 2¼˝ × 2¼˝ square draw a line corner to corner. Sew on the diagonal line. Trim away excess fabric. Repeat with the opposite corner to complete the unit. Repeat entire process to create 3 more units.

Organize the units into an “X” shape or an “O” shape and sew into a block.
