Sometimes we love so many things in life that we overcommit ourselves. You want to meet before school to study? Sure! Want to get lunch later? Absolutely. How about a game in the park? Done! Wanna catch a movie? And then go to the mall? And then play video games? Spending time with our friends while also balancing school and other commitments can be exhausting. It often leads to feeling burned out, which is a real bummer for your moods. One day you’re feeling great and the next you’re grouchy and exhausted and can’t pay attention to what’s going on around you.
This month, dare to take a step back, listen to your body, and learn how to take care of yourself. This can mean going to bed early one night, eating healthier foods, and politely saying no to things that maybe don’t interest you and will take up too much of your time.
