PALEO, GLUTEN-FREE
Chicken wings have become a national treasure in America, just like apple pie and baseball. Pop open a beer (keep it gluten-free!) and sit back and relax. These wings will be yours within the half-hour.
• Hands-On Time: 10 minutes
• Cook Time: 10 minutes
1 In a large bowl, whisk together honey, orange juice, coconut aminos, apple cider vinegar, sriracha, garlic, and black pepper. Set aside.
2 If you buy chicken wings that are connected, cut them at the joint to separate. Season chicken with salt. Set aside.
3 Add chicken broth to Instant Pot®. Insert a steamer basket. Add chicken wings. Stand up wings if necessary so as to not overcrowd them on top of each other. Lock lid.
4 Press the Manual button and adjust time to 10 minutes. When timer beeps, let pressure release naturally for 5 minutes. Quick-release any additional pressure until float valve drops and then unlock lid.
5 Toss the chicken in the sauce mixture. Serve.
Coconut Aminos, Tamari, and Soy Sauce
These three ingredients can be subbed out equally in recipes for each other. Coconut aminos are soy-free and gluten-free and can generally be found in specialty stores or the organic section of the grocery store. Tamari is a gluten-free soy-sauce substitute and is a little easier to find as it generally is sold right next to the soy sauce. Tastewise, you really cannot tell a difference, especially used in recipes with other ingredients.
