JOHN MARSHALL loves to make things. He’s worked as a screenwriter, a carpenter, and a cartoonist. He’s also a nine-time Emmy Award–winning television producer, earning the industry’s top honor in such diverse categories as set design, musical composition, art direction, and writing. He was named Maine’s Broadcaster of the Year in 2008. Wide-Open World is his first book. After selling his home in Gorham, Marshall embarked on an extended tour of India. He ended up back at the Good Shepherd Agricultural Mission, making videos with the kids, and writing about orphanage life on his website.
