“Now is not the time to decide this. I’ll pick you up at six and we’ll have dinner. What would dinner hurt? Give me a chance to change your mind. That’s not too much to ask, is it?”
She must have nodded, because he smiled that killer smile. Taylor wondered if she’d just lost her mind.
The proposal didn’t make any sense. But then neither did her reaction. When his gaze had locked on hers and he stood so close, for one brief moment she’d been seriously tempted to throw caution to the wind and say yes.
