FORGET FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS… #FRIENDSWITHZENEFITS

After Zenefits CEO Parker Conrad publicly resigned from his role amid turmoil at his high-flying startup, which seemed more like a fraternity than a company, the hangover started to kick in.

David Sacks replaced Conrad as CEO, who promptly acted to clean up the mess left behind. Sacks banned alcohol from the office, as well as access to the company’s stairwells. The former makes sense, but why the latter? Well, it was reported that cigarettes, red Solo cups filled with beer, and used condoms were found in the stairwell.

What happens in Zenefits stays in Zenefits.

TWEET HEARD AROUND THE WORLD

Silicon Valley professional tweeter Marc Andreessen made a quip about Facebook on Twitter, and offended 1 billion Indians with a single tweet.

He quickly apologized and then disappeared from his favorite social media platform altogether, leading techies to wonder—”Where did Marc Andreessen go?”

His whereabouts were unknown for two weeks, as not a peep was heard from him, unusual for the man who tweets usually 100+ a day.

All was well in the world again, when Andreessen emerged from his “social media vacation” to send out a congratulatory tweet. Whether or not he will continue his social media exile is currently unknown.*
