Students feel bullish about Madrid as it is the hot spot for university education in Europe with some of the oldest and most prestigious programs. The tide is rising for startups in Madrid as Google recently opened an innovation campus there, only its third one in Europe. While the financial crisis has rocked the country, the silver lining is engineers will “work for food” as more people venture out on their own.
