1/2 cup canola oil
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
3 cups multigrain square cereal
21/4 cups unsalted sunflower seeds
2 cups oat or multigrain cereal
2 cups multigrain pretzel sticks
1. Combine the oil, chili powder, cumin, oregano, salt, and red pepper in a small measuring cup.
2. Combine the cereal squares, sunflower seeds, oat or multigrain cereal, and pretzels in a 4- to 6-quart slow cooker. Drizzle with the oil mixture, tossing to coat well.
3. Cover and cook on low for 2 to 3 hours, stirring twice during the cooking time. Be sure to check the mixture after 2 hours, as slow cooker times can vary. Remove the lid during the last 30 minutes of cooking to allow the mix to dry.
