O’Connor, Jack. Complete Book of Shooting. With Roy Dunlap, Alex Kerr, and Jeff Cooper. New York: Outdoor Life, 1965. [vi], 385 pp. Illus., index. This is an important work of enduring value. Cooper’s contributions on the pistol are certainly as important as O’Connor’s contributions on rifles.

———. The Hunter’s Shooting Guide. With a preface by Jim Carmichael. New York: Outdoor Life, 1978. vi, 170 pp. Illus., index. Originally published in 1957 under the title Outdoor Life Shooting Book, this is a collection of pieces on rifles, handguns, and shotguns. Of particular note are the chapters entitled “This Flinching Business” and “Beginning with a Handgun.”

An overlooked O’Connor title with a three-chapter section entitled “How to Shoot Your Rifle”, a six-chapter section entitled “Scopes, Sights and Sighting,” and two chapters on handguns.
