More than a decade ago when I was living out of my car, telling myself all the reasons it was impossible for me to write a book, it never occurred to me that God had already sorted all of that out. He had a plan. His plan involved people. Beautiful human beings from all walks of life crossed my rocky road of perseverance to help me achieve a dream.
If I’ve learned anything in my years of trial, it is the absolute necessity of loyal friendship. Relationship is the reason for being. With that, I’d like to start from the beginning of this journey: the Timmons family, the Jabour family, the Swanson family, Keith and Linda T, Matt K, Buster G, Andy and Kristy H, Kevin and Lea Ann W, Cindy G, Christina and Rachel, Kendall A, Mr. Tebow, Gunny Hanson, Captain Williams, Captain Young, Master Chief Duffy, and Nease NJROTC. Over the course of this wild journey, I have learned the essential need for mentorship.
