Adam collects mechanical automatons, or nodders—popular as toys and in amusement parks back in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The collection sits along the top of the main living room’s built-in bookshelves. The two sofas are by William Haines and the inlayed travertine coffee table is by Montici. Objects they’ve collected over the years are mixed in with coffee table books, making the room feel lived in, rather than overly studied. The floor lamp is by Boris Lacroix.
