5 kg turkey with offal
1 orange
1 onion
1 apple
1 tablespoon honey
4 leaves sage
2 stems thyme
1 stem rosemary
¼ teaspoon ginger powder
¼ ml water
Spice mixture (poultry spice)

Clean and wash the turkey thoroughly.
Rub inside and outside with salt and poultry seasoning.
Loosen the skin over the breast, push the sage leaves and thyme stalks under the skin opening.
Peel the onion and wash and halve the apple, remove the core.
Stuff the turkey with the onion, apple, neck, stomach and heart. Cover the opening well with a toothpick. Put the turkey with the breast down in the roaster. Pour water sideways, push the roaster into the preheated tube on the lowest rail.
At 200 degrees after 1 hour take out the roaster and put the turkey
turn around. Spread honey with ginger powder over the turkey, peel orange, cut into slices, put on top, cover and put turkey back into the tube for another 1 1/2 hours at 180 degrees, turn off, let rest for another 15 minutes and serve.
