Dear Reader,
Welcome back to the charming small town of Bluebonnet, Texas, home to a girl squad of fabulous heroines who recently started Comfort Paws, Bluebonnet’s own therapy dog organization dedicated to spreading doggy comfort and joy. Who couldn’t use a little of both those things during the holiday season?
Gus Martin, a certain cranky resident at Bluebonnet Senior Living, that’s who. The older gentleman is a certified grinch, and he seems determined to make Adaline Bishop’s Christmas as miserable as possible. But Adaline, eternal optimist and baker of pies, still brings her therapy pup in training, Fuzzy, to visit twice a week, just like clockwork. Her optimism takes a big hit, though, when Gus’s nephew Jace turns up—her very own ghost of Christmas past.
Jace and Adaline don’t seem to remember the events of fifth grade quite the same way. She considers him to be her lifelong nemesis, while Jace remembers Adaline as the first girl he ever fell head over heels for. Hard. To get back into her good graces, Jace invites Comfort Paws to hold a fundraiser selling hot chocolate at his Christmas tree lot in the town square. Somehow that innocent little arrangement evolves into a fake-dating relationship for the holidays. Even poor Fuzzy seems confused!
I hope you enjoy Adaline and Jace’s romantic Christmas journey. If you haven’t read the first book in this series, Dog Days of Summer, you can still pick it up online!
Happy reading and merry Christmas,
Teri
