(COCONUT ROUNDELS)
The narkel naru is an indispensable food during festivals. Made with jaggery or sugar and coconut and milk these delicate and delicious roundels are a hit with children.
Preparation time: 90 minutes
Serves: 12 pieces
1 grated coconut
200 gm thickened milk
50 ml condensed milk
¼ tsp green cardamom powder
50 gm sugar
50 gm ghee (clarified butter)
Raisins for garnish

Heat ghee in a pan. Add the grated coconut and sauté. |

Add sugar, sauté till the sugar melts and the mixture turns light brown and sticky. |

Add condensed milk, thickened milk, and green cardamom. Stir till the mixture thickens and stops sticking to the pan. Remove. |

Divide the mixture into 12 equal roundels. |

Garnish each ball with a raisin on top. |
