With all of these serious signs showing that a stock is on the decline, you might assume that you can just place a put order. That does not mean a put order is actually going to be worthwhile. The problem with stocks that are in trouble is that even put orders are not going to give you anything. They might have difficult margins on their options that are hard to attain. Sometimes a stock might have margins where the value has to really fall further just for a put to be successful.
There is always a chance for a stock to rebound after a few days or weeks in the red as a result of some bad stories. The rebound might occur as the stock gets cheap enough so that it becomes an attractive deal in the eyes of some people.
Whatever the case might be, always do your research and perform due diligence when looking at any stock that is struggling. Finding out what is happening with a stock is one of the best strategies that you could ever implement.
