GARETH RUSSELL IS THE AUTHOR of several works of royal and social history, including Young and Damned and Fair, his 2017 biography of Henry VIII’s fifth wife, which was shortlisted for the UK’s Slightly Foxed Best First Biography Prize in 2017. He was educated at the University of Oxford and took his postgraduate in History at Queen’s University in his native Belfast. Several of his books have been adapted for theater and he divides his time between Belfast and New York.
