Exercise
Pleasant vs. Unpleasant
If something is very painful or difficult it is natural to want to avoid it or push it away because it is unpleasant. Sometimes this is useful in order to be able to continue functioning and not be overwhelmed by “the problem,” but if the problem doesn’t really go away it can manifest itself in symptoms of stress mentally and physically. It can be helpful to keep a diary for a week and simply observe without judging what you experience as pleasant and unpleasant and jot down its effect on body and mind. Observe which is easiest to notice.
