Stephen Romano is a bestselling author, comic book creator, screenwriter, and illustrator. He is the author of Resurrection Express, a widely acclaimed action thriller, now in development as a major motion picture from the producers of Platoon and the Rush Hour series. Stephen is also the coauthor of Black Light, a supernatural thriller, written in collaboration with top Hollywood screenwriters Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan, of the billion-dollar Saw film series. In 2005, Romano adapted Joe Lansdale’s Incident on and off a Mountain Road for Showtime’s Emmy-Award winning Masters of Horror television series. Romano’s award-winning illustrated work Shock Festival was hailed by Fangoria as “the greatest homage to B-Cinema ever undertaken.” Romano’s professionally commissioned ebook for the Amazon Kindle Worlds series, Wayward Pines: Before the Fall, enjoyed more than twelve months on the bestseller list. In 2016, Stephen returns to the horror comics world with his edgy original series Bottomfeeder and two graphic novels based on the classic grindhouse horror films of Lucio Fulci, City of the Living Dead and Zombie. Stephen lives in Austin, Texas.
