Gustavo Ferrer, MD, is pulmonologist trained in Cuba and the United States, founder of the Cleveland Clinic Florida’s Chronic Cough Clinic, and president of Intensive Care Experts based in south Florida. An authority on respiratory ailments with more than twenty years’ experience, Dr. Ferrer grew up in a culture that effectively uses herbal teas and folk remedies for relief from various afflictions, and today his work encompasses both traditional and modern forms of medicine. Dr. Ferrer grew up in a remote, rural area of Cuba, where he learned compassionate care from his mother and grandmother.
