Having planned 9,000 parties in my life it shouldn’t come as a surprise that parties are one of my favorite things on the planet. In fact, I think food and parties are totally best friends, and best friends stick together. In this chapter I tried really hard to pick parties that you already throw, such as a book club or a baby shower. I will never understand an entertaining book that shows you how to throw something grandiose like a Moroccan-themed dinner party … because seriously, outside of Morocco, where is that actually happening? And even more so, who has the time? What you’ll find on these pages are some of my favorite party themes. I hope they encourage you and inspire some ideas for your next shindig. Just remember, you don’t have to do everything all at once. Try adding a single fun new element to your next event, and I promise you’ll see how much even the smallest thing can enhance the overall feel.
